I really could use some help with my financial situation.  I have exhausted all my options, and don't know what to do.

I will attempt to sum up the situation as best as I can.  My family's financial situation started when I was pregnant with my son.  We were okay financially before then.  Well, my pregnancy caused me to have to quit one of my jobs due to health reasons.  Unfortunately, it was the better paying job.  Then, my pregnancy just went from bad to worse and I had to be off work (without pay) for longer than anticipated.  With just my husband's income, we got so far behind on our bills.  When I finally was able to go back to work, I wasn't making enough to catch us up on our essential bills just to live, let alone other bills.  Eventually, the bills that we had been unable to pay before, started to catch up to us....our wages started to get garnished.  We ended up losing our house that we were buying, and we had to move into a rental.  Since then, it has been nothing but a struggle.  Then, to make matters worse, I recently sustained a workplace injury to my right shoulder (I'm right-handed). I had to be on pain meds that didn't allow me to work.  However, I was still told that I was still supposed to work light duty.  And, even though the reason I had to miss work was directly related to the injury I got at work, I was told that missing work due to the pain meds was considered unexcused and not covered under workers comp and I could not use my vacation or sick time either.   It came to the point where I was in a situation where I was gonna get fired, or I had to quit.  I did not want a firing on my record...especially since I had been there for 9 1/2 years out of the last 11 years.  I decided to quit my job to avoid the bad mark on my employment record.  That was about 4 weeks ago, and still no job, due to my injury and I'm still limited in what I can do.  THEN.....if things aren't bad enough already......I found out about a week and a half ago, that we are expecting our second child.  Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about the pregnancy and feel blessed about that, but.......How are we gonna make it?????  We have a 2 year old and another baby on the way.  I have a disconnect notice on the power bill that I had to write a bad check to postpone it getting shut off.  When that doesn't go through, the power will be shut off.  My husband's wages are being garnished still for medical bills from my last pregnancy and birth.  Rent is due, the payment on our only vehicle is due, everything is due NOW and we have NO money to pay it.  If you are able to help in any way, my family would greatly appreciate it.....whether you can loan money, give money, or just give advice......I will take whatever help I can get.  I absolutely HATE asking for help, but we have exhausted all our options and don't know what to do.  I am in tears writing this because I am so stressed and worried about my family's future.  Please help us.

I have a serious nerve injury and can't feel the right side of my right arm,  I just went through a surgery to correct the "clawing" of my fingers.  I am in pain management and have recently found out that the 8 pills a day that I take for pain may be lifelong and I am only 39. If anyone can help please let me know I would love to be pain and drug-free again.

Well, I'm not real sure how or where to start. I'll go back to Jan. of 2009, when things at work and home were wonderful.  I love my family and I also love my husband, so this isn't a sob story about how my life fell apart it's a story about how my life changed due to a drunk driver.  It isn't one of my kids or my husband that was injured, it was myself.  My husband and kids had to go through my recovery which has been a long road.  I am here because since the accident I have been unable to work and that has affected our lifestyle.  My husband had to stay by my bedside for 17 days and has still yet to recover in the employment field.  I am asking for help to pay my bills if you haven't guessed already.  I can't believe I have to beg and I am sorry to be asking for your help although I know no other way.  Can you help me or is there anyone who has the same problem that wishes to talk?  I have tried in every way to look up grants but everytime I think I might be getting somewhere up pops send money and I will send you this.  Well if I had the money for I would apply it to my bills, I am so far in debt and can't get debt consolidation cause my credit score is in the crapper.      I've never posted anything so please bare with me if I mess it up. Anyway, I've recentley had some life changing events happen to me and I just need to feel connected somehow. I was in a near fatal car accident in mid April. I was ejected out of a vehicle went through the glass and landed on the interstate. My injuries were so bad no one thought I was going to make it. Needless to say I did and I am making a remarkable recovery. My accident was just a couple weeks ago and with my fractures, internal injuries and scars and severe deep road rash that covers about 35% of my body I am well enough to walk and get around pretty good. I know this was miracle there is no other way to explain it. Fortunatley I was the only person with any injuries in the accident, everyone else is safe and I am so grateful for my daughter and husband being well and unharmed as well as the other drivers in the accident. I am so thankful to everyone who helped to save my life that day and to the people who will help me in the future. I have a new apperciation for life. If anyone would like to share there experiences it would be nice to read them. I wonder if the new found love of life is a typical reaction to such an event. I hate to even ask for help, but I am having problems functioning due to eye injuries to both eyes.  Both my corneas are damaged from ultraviolet radiation.  I suffer from painful, burning sensations in my eyes almost 24 hours a day.  The pain becomes so severe sometimes that I can't even sleep. 

I also have eye floaters in my eyes from the injury.  They are very distracting and make it difficult to leave the house, especially on a sunny day.  I am trying to raise a son by myself since his mother passed away last October.

I know I don't have cancer or anything life threatening.  However, the eye damage has impacted my life and kept me from doing the things I was used to doing.  I am planning on having surgery in March to remove the floaters from my eyes.  I am scared to death, but I know it will make me more comfortable and productive in society.  If anybody knows of resources out there to help people with eye injuries or surgical procedures, please let me know.

I am curently off of work due to an injury. Im still waiting for workmans comp to kick in if they even do since theres an investigation going on to determine if I actually hurt myself at work or not and why my doctor took me off work rather than light duty.Its a mess and in the meantime the stack of bills is getting larger.A shut off notice from the electric company and the thoughts of the eviction from my apartment thats sure to come in the begining of next month have me worrying night and day.I live with my fiance whos income is only around $450 a month.Its a check sent to him once a month for taking care of his mother.He's been unable to find a job for over a year now so I was the primary bread winner.We were only just getting by before.Ive draged my feet and have had to ask my mother for help with such things as toilet paper.We have no children but theres a chance I may be pregnant now(waiting for a doctors apointment to find out).We'd been waiting for a break in the bills..just one month of a surprise lower payment or if nothing else then for tax time in order to send him to school to become a nurse aid as well as to get the new glasses he needs(they are severly scratched and are taped together). Now however Im franticly searching for a way to get him into those classes,the next one being offered in March.Its more important now than ever since my doctor has advised me to find a new profesion(im a nurse aid).I simply cannot do my line of work.I'm scared.His monthly check can only cover utilitys or car payment.I have a car through a buy here/pay here company that makes no alowances to people who simply dont have the money this month.Its cash or repo.

The car payment is $320($160 every 2 weeks so that decembers would be $480),car insurance(full coverage mandatory through the car company) is $180.Our electric runs around $90 plus the $50 I owe them by the 23rd of this month to avoid shut off.Gas runs around the same along with the $25 I owe by the end of the month to avoid shut off.Rent is $600.We recive food stamps but still struggle getting other non covered items like toilet paper,dog food,gas for the car,laundry soap,ect.

Im not getting any better and have no idea when I can return to work.tests are still being ran to see if there was nerve damage in my injury.I feel so lost and completly helpless.

24 HOURS LEFT! I need immediate help I have a job offer and a potential home to move into but I am $400.00 short.This will all go away if I cant get the $$$ in the next 24 hours. This is a major relocation and I am fortunate to have the majority of what I need to get there, however I am already going with nothing extra (few clothes, no furnishings, some cans of food) and my own father told me he would loan me $500.00 and 2 hours after I was supposed to have left for my new life he showed up with $50.00, major slap in the face. In Dec. 2006 I was injured on the job, unable to return to work for over 2 yrs, I then had no luck in trying to return to the work world because employment was beginning a turn for the worse. Over the past 3 years I have slowly had to sell everything I own to keep afloat, now I have nothing to show for it. My fiance is staying behind trying to make a bit more $$ and save to come meet up with me, in only a few more weeks time I will have the money but the offer will be gone. I can promise to not only repay the aid back to others also in need, I will promise to give a minimum donation of $100.00 per month for at least 1 year in honor of whomever can help me now. I know just go out and get a loan, after being out of work for so long, having destroyed my credit, having borrowed and repaid from every person I know I have run out of options. My husband had a back injury and emergency back surgery.  It was an on the job injury, and they would not hire him back.  Due to the nature of his restrictions and with no college education, he had a very hard time finding suitable work.  We have struggled tremendously and still continue to do so.  We have a 14 year old son that had to have foot surgery and this caused me to miss work as we have no family around us and with my husband's new job, he could not miss.  I missed two full days of pay and now my husband's truck is not running!  We just cannot seem to get ahead, we would appreciate anything at all!

 I was injured  at a  job in 2002,leaveing me with severe pain and in time herniated disks. through it all i have depression,pain through out my  spine and neck! not to mention  everyother  spot  in my  body. I have went through all that doctor's tell me to. i am now looking at surgery 6 yrs later. now doctor is reluctant to even be able to  do the  surgery.3 herniated disks in the  L area's fuseing themselves together. one herniated in the neck. with narrowing  canal. I am a  single mom through this all! with 5 children and 2  grandchildren.This  is  just a nightmare for  us  all in my life!  i do have attorney and have filed  since 2005 for disabilitie. no ssi or  disabiltie or any other help, we  have  suffered   financially  and mentally and  i have  no  choice!  what do i do?...  someone help!

  Hi, my name is Michael, I am married and have 4 children, the children are 12, 11, 9, 2. I have been unable to work since March of 2007 because of a knee injury. I have had 2 surguries on my right knee and they want to do another, but every time I have surgery on the knee it gets worse, and my doctor won't tell me the success rate for the next surgery is. I try and walk but my knee catches and then pops, it is very painful. My wife has been trying to support all of us herself, but she is a nurses aide and doesn't get enough money to support us. The bills are piling up, I am in the process of trying to get social security disability, hopefully they approve me quickly. My wife is probably going to have to quit her job, because gas prices keep going up, and she works 30 miles away. I really hope to find help soon, we only were able to use a $100 for groceries for the next 2 weeks, and I know they won't last. I am a mother of 3 who lost her job in construction May 1 2005. I have been unable to find a job and now have a back injury that has me using a wheelchair. I have months of therapy and then back surgery. I have lost everything and have had to move in with my parents and now my vehicle is about to be repossesed. I am looking for random acts of kindness to help pay some bills and medical expenses. For anyone who donates I will pay it forward with a random act of kindness, via cards to homebound, baked goods for those left alone in nursing homes. Whatever I can do to pay it forward. 2 years ago I was hurt on the job and my wife and I have been without every day after that. I would like to get work but due to my injuries I will not be able to keep a job. My name is Nathan. I am 21 years old, and have plans for a full and vibrant life. I rent a house with three other people in Evergreen, Colorado. However, I broke my back in January while snowboarding. In that one moment my life has been halted. I am now making a recovery, but I have been out of work for three months and I am unable to make payments on my thousands of dollars worth of medical bills. The original total for my hospital bills was $33,000, which they have graciously discounted to a lower sum. But now I am recieving new bills every day from medical providers that I haven't even heard of, totalling from $70 to over $1000 for each bill. Since I can't work, I feel like I am falling behind and that my life is being stifled at its beginning. I had plans for volunteer work and travel in Asia this year, but now I have this enormous hole to climb out of. If you have any advice or help to give I would humbly appreciate it.
